TSV to SQL INSERT statements
Paste tab-separated data copied from a spreadsheet, or drop a .tsv file. Tab-separated values are fixed to the tab character for a .tsv extension, so the columns split exactly where you expect.
Everything runs locally. This is handy when the data came out of a database console or an internal tool and you would rather not put it on a third-party server.

Frequently asked questions
- How is TSV detected?
- A .tsv extension always uses the tab character. For .txt and .csv files the delimiter is chosen from the first rows.
- Can a cell contain a tab?
- Enclose the value in double quotes, following RFC 4180, and the tab is preserved inside the cell.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page has loaded you can disconnect and the conversion still works.
- What is the row limit?
- 500 rows as a guest, 50,000 rows with a free account.
