Terms of Service
Effective date: 10 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PrivateDataForge / xkjson.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The workspace runs in your browser
Files you drop or paste, parsed tables, generated SQL, CSV, Markdown, and JSON are processed in this browser, including in a Web Worker on the page. They are not sent to us, to our hosting provider's storage, or to advertising networks. You are responsible for the files you choose to open on your own device.
Accounts and row limits
An account is optional. Guests can process up to 500 rows per file. Signed-in users can process up to 50,000 rows per file; larger files are loaded up to that limit. Accounts store identity and preferences only — never your files, tables, or conversion results. These limits are product rules and may change. See Plans.
No payment yet
The Service does not charge for use today. There is no checkout, no credit-card form, and no payment processor integration on this site. Mentions of Free or Pro describe future membership, not a current purchase.
Conversion output: accuracy and truncation
The Service converts and cleans data entirely on your device. Conversion may be affected by file quirks, encoding, delimiters, malformed rows, or spreadsheet formatting, and results are provided without warranty. Parsing may stop at a row or size limit (500 rows for guests, 50,000 for signed-in users), and previews may render only the first few hundred lines for speed. Where a limit applies, exports include only the rows actually processed. It is your responsibility to review output before relying on it.
SQL and data loss: you are in control
The Service generates SQL text for you to inspect. We do not run your SQL against any database, and we have no visibility into where or how you execute it. If you choose to run generated SQL, you are solely responsible for its effects, including unintended writes, schema changes, or data loss. Always back up your data and test statements in a safe environment first. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from SQL you choose to execute.
Your data and backups
Because processing is local, you retain full control of your data and are responsible for keeping your own backups. We hold no copy of your files, tables, or output, so we cannot restore them for you.
Advertising
Ads are not displayed on this site right now, and the ad interface is hidden. If ads are enabled later, they will appear only in page chrome (for example a footer), never inside your files, tables, or SQL, and advertising cookies will be subject to your cookie choice where required. See the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Use the Service for lawful conversion and cleaning of data you are allowed to handle. Do not attempt to disrupt or overload the Service, bypass account or row limits in a way that attacks it, infringe intellectual property, or use the optional sign-in to impersonate others.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its name, design, and software, remains our property and that of our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to our branding. You retain all rights to your own data; we claim no ownership of your files or output.
Availability and "as is"
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service — including losses caused by converting or cleaning data, by relying on generated output, or by SQL you choose to execute.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. The effective date above will change, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. The courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute, and you and we submit to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have where you live.
